Interferences

Contamination: Avoid touching the swab tip to any surface (hands, external skin, etc.) other than the collection site to prevent contamination.

Improper Media: Using the wrong type of transport media or a dry swab (if transport media is required) can lead to rejection.

Antibiotics: Collect samples prior to the administration of antibiotics or antifungal therapy, if possible, as treatment may affect the test results.

Insufficient Volume/Sample: Ensure enough sample is collected (e.g., minimum volume for urine or full saturation of the swab).
