Unacceptable Conditions

Samples collected in bags or diapers

Remarks

Submit indication for exposure with requisition:
Foreign Travel or Immigration
Immunocompromised (including donor samples)
Unexplained Eosinophilia
Consumption of uncooked bear meat
Exposure to wolves or their feces
Consumption of raw fish
Visualized worm/parasite
If indication of exposure is not submitted, the OAP will be canceled and Giardia Antigen – GIARAG – is recommended instead.
Indicate suspected parasites, especially Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora and Isospora
3 stool specimens collected over a 10-day period is optimum
Antibiotics may affect results
