SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Due to special handling requirements, collection for this testing must be done at an on-site Intermountain hospital drawsite. Collection at other sites may be available if special collection items are available, and storage/transport temperature instructions can be followed.
PFA testing is performed on-site at St. George, Cedar City, Utah Valley, and IMC. COLLECTION: Two 2.7 mL Blue (NA Citrate) tubes and one Lavender (K2 EDTA) tube
Be sure to fill Blue (NA Citrate) tubes to the proper level as indicated on vacutainer tube
Draw with a 21-gauge needle or larger
Minimum volume: 4.5 mL. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:Hand deliver to lab only
Specimen must not be sent in the tube system
