LAB STAFF NOTES: At least 10 mL total divided between 2 aliquot tubes:
– 1st aliquot is AL-UR
Use false bottom (3 mL) Sarstedt tube
Minimum volume in this tube, 2 mL uriine
– 2nd aliquot is AL-UR4. Use urine aliquot tube (8 or 10 mL) or blue top sterile tube (8 mL)
Minimum volume in this tube, 8 mL urine

Do this, because BD urine collection tubes may be in short supply
