Lavender EDTA Plasma:
Collect specimen and invert tube gently 4 times. Place the tube on ice immediately after mixing and within one minute of collection
Red top Serum or SST
Allow to clot at room temperature and centrifuge within 1 hour of collection
Centrifuge the tube at approximately 3000 RPM for 15 minutes. Use a disposable transfer pipette to transfer serum or plasma to a labeled aliquot tube. Record the date and time of collection on the sample submission form. Referral Lab: NEXT Molecular Analytics
