SPECIMEN COLLECTION: Post Harvest
Apheresis product, 1 mL in Lavender (K2 EDTA). LAB STAFF NOTES: Batch specimen to Central Lab in STAT specimen transport bag.
Write STEM on secondary transport bag.
Send with morning courier.
On weekends, or if courier will not arrive for >1 hour, call for a STAT courier.
Red Cross specimens should have yellow STAT STEM labels, and must be hand-delivered to the Flow Cytometry Department, BYPASSING SPECIMEN PROCESSING. STABILITY: Testing should be performed within 4 hours of collection due to limited product viability.
